Ed Hale recently attended the 2000 Florida Heroes Awards Ceremony at The Loews Hotel on Miami Beach, hosted by the National Academy of Recording arts and Sciences, NARAS, the organization most famous for its annual Grammy Awards. Ed Hale was recently inducted into the Academy for his work on the Ed Hale album Acoustic In New York. The event was hosted by actor Andy Garcia and the honorees at this year’s event included reggae band Third World; and songwriting sensation Desmond Child. The highlight of the event —said Ed— was being able to hang out with childhood hero Harry Wayne Casey from KC and the Sunshine Band.
