Andrea’s Fault is a song that Fernando had written years before. As soon as the band heard it we wanted to make it a TRANSCENDENCE song. It just sounded like us. We were recording the Nothing is Cohesive album at the time in Fernando’s mom’s garage. This was one of the most purely musical experiences I’ve ever been a part of. We recorded everyday all day and night that summer and we were all just madly in love with the band, with each other, with making music, and with this monster that had developed around us called TRANSCENDENCE. We were coming off the highly polished and commercial Sleep With You album and so were sort of boomeranged to the opposite extreme. No producer, no engineer, no real studio. Just music making for the pure joy of it. Fernando and I and Roger tracked this entire song in one day. Just bam bam bam. Recorded all the parts one by one and then laid down the vocals and then of course Fernando’s very tasty lead guitar nuances. By 2AM we had a rough mix completed of it. Unfortunately something got screwed up with the original audio files so the song was not able to be properly mixed so it never made it to the Nothing is Cohesive CD. All that actually exists of this song is a CD of this rough mix. Rough around the edges it still has a very special vibe to it. Truly epitomizes and captures the sound of the Nothing is Cohesive phase of the band.

Lyrics

My heartache

Is like an earthquake

Its Andréa’s fault

She controls it all

I’m crumbling

Just like a building

Wounds are filled with salt

Its Andréa’s fault

What a way to fall apart

Bloody murder

I can’t find a way

To make it stop

I’m crumbling

Just like a building

Wounds are filled with salt

Its Andréa’s fault

What a way to fall apart

Bloody murder

I can’t find a way to make it stop

My heartache

Is like an earthquake

Its Andréa’s fault

She controls it all

It’s Andréa’s fault
