Especially the brutal battle going on in Gaza and Palestine. To do the usual party to party scene all night just didn’t seem appropriate at the time… still doesn’t. The idea just grew from there… Then it just came down to if we had the energy and the commitment to really do something. That’s what it always comes down to isn’t it? The idea was how much can we do if we focus 110% on peace in the world for three or four days and nights? That was the question. What CAN we do? Luckily I was with someone who was willing to play along and go for it… Imagine if every single one of us did something, anything, using whatever skills or talents or ideas we had and just focused three or four days a year on nothing but peace in the world… it wouldn’t be long… We’d be there by now.”
